I am a Professor of Practice and coordinator of the UNL-GPIDEA Community Development Program Master's program and Rural Economic and Community Vitality Certificate at the Department of Agricultural Economics. I received my PhD in Community Development from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and my master’s degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Sao Paulo. In general, the courses I teach investigate the economic and social theories relevant to understand rural communities and the issues and problems they face. They also provide the economic basis to understand the public decision-making process and the skills necessary for constructive participation in community affairs.
