Dr. Lia Nogueira is an assistant professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics at University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Dr. Nogueira has studied important issues pertaining to agricultural policy, international trade, consumer demand, technology innovations, food safety and food security. Dr. Nogueira has been assistant professor at University of Illinois and University of Kentucky. She has taught undergraduate classes in global agribusiness management and international trade, and graduate classes in advanced agricultural marketing and international trade. She received a Ph.D. in economics and a master's degree in statistics from Washington State University and a master's degree in agricultural economics from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Her undergraduate degree is in food science engineering, and she has two and a half years of experience in the food ingredients industry.
