Dr. Yeyin Shi is an Assistant Professor and Agricultural Information Systems Specialist in the Department of Biological Systems Engineering with 50% research and 50% extension appointment. Her expertise is in agricultural sensing and information systems for crop and livestock productions. Yeyin's interests in research is investigating novel and advanced technologies and methodologies to generate, extract, manage and utilize useful data and information to increase efficiency, quality, and sustainability in agricultural production. Her interests in extension is educating the advanced and appropriate sensing and information technologies to stakeholders to help them increase production efficiency and quality. She graduated her PhD in Agricultural Engineering from the Oklahoma State University, and had postdoctoral experiences in the University of Florida and the Texas A&M University prior to joining in University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
