Dr. Konstantinos Giannakas is the Harold W. Eberhard Distinguished Professor of Agricultural Economics and the Director of the Center for Agricultural & Food Industrial Organization at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Saskatchewan in Canada, an M.Sc. from the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania and a B.Sc. from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece. He has been an expert consultant for the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Rome, and a visiting professor at Universities in The Netherlands, Austria and Greece. His academic interests include the areas of Industrialization and Organization of the Agri-Food System; Regulatory Economics & Policy Analysis; and the Economics of Innovation & Product Differentiation.
