Esma Gel

Esma S. Gel is Cynthia Hardin Milligan Chair of Business and Professor at the Department of Supply Chain Management and Analytics of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Gel was a faculty member at Arizona State University between 2000-2022. Her research focuses on the use of optimization and stochastic modeling techniques for management of operations in manufacturing/service systems, supply chains and healthcare. She has published extensively in leading journals of her field and received funding from the National Science Foundation and National Institutes of Health as well as industrial partners. Gel holds M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University.
