Sarah Roberts is an Extension Educator for Dixon, Dakota, Wayne, Pierce and Thurston counties. Roberts started with Extension in July 2015 and is in The Learning Child programming area which helps teach and support those in contact with children from birth to age eight. Sarah graduated from the University of Alabama with a B.A. in Music Administration and has a M.Ed in Early Childhood/Elementary Education from Auburn University Montgomery. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D in Child, Youth and Family Studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She focuses mainly on informal education and has worked at the Montgomery Zoo in Montgomery, Alabama, Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo, and Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. Sarah loves teaching children and adults about science, nature, and the environment and is excited to share this passion with her community.
