Sunil Sukumaran

I received my bachelor’s degree in Zoology from University of Calicut and master’s degree in Biotechnology from Cochin University of Science and Technology, both in India. For my PhD, I studied neuronal activity in the mouse olfactory system at the University of Cologne, Germany. After postdoctoral stints at the National institutes of health, I moved to the Monell Chemical Senses Center, Philadelphia where I studied the mechanisms of taste signaling and taste cell regeneration using mouse models. I will continue these studies in my newly established lab at The Nutrition and health sciences Department, University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
