Sruti Das Choudhury received B.Tech in Information Technology from the West Bengal University of Technology and M.Tech in Computer Science and Application from the University of Calcutta, India, in 2005 and 2009, respectively. She obtained PhD in Computer Science Engineering from the School of Engineering of the University of Warwick, UK, in 2014. Her thesis title was “Uniscale and Multiscale Gait recognition for Human Identification”. She worked as a Lecturer for five years in the Department of Information Technology of the Calcutta Institute of Engineering and Management (2005 – 2010) in India, and as a Laboratory Demonstrator for three years in the UK while pursuing PhD. She worked as an Early Career Research Fellow in the Institute of Advanced Study of the University of Warwick, UK (May 2014 to February 2015) and as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Computer Science Engineering (February 2015-November 2016) in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, USA. Presently, she is working as the Research Assistant Professor in the School of Natural Resources and the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, USA. Her research interests include computer vision, pattern recognition, image-based plant phenotyping analysis, biometrics and medical image analysis. She is the course instructor of the Computer Vision course (CSE 473/873) in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.
